Architectural Control Committee

Trash and other safety hazards must be a priority during your modification or build. Fence off areas that post a hazard to youth and communicate with your neighbors. Mind your construction noise, hours are 8am – 10pm.

What is the ACC?
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is comprised of seven volunteer members of your community and handles any external modification request. Typically, such a request is required, but please see the Guidelines on the website under Docs & Forms tab for specifics.

What are the restrictions?

Where can I find the ACC Form?

How do I submit my form and paperwork?
Digitally online under the Docs and Forms Tab complete the e-form entitled “Architectural Modification Request”. You can attach a file to your form. Or you can email a digital photograph of your paperwork to acc@nottinghamforestviii.org. You can also make alternative arrangements by email.

I am building a new house, what do I do?
Please reference the checklist on the first page of the ACC Modification Application Form, and submit complete plans with evidence of each item. See the Deed Restrictions and ACC Guidelines to ensure compliance.

I am demolishing my house, but I am not ready to build, what do I do?
You must still fill out an ACC Modification Application Form, obtain a City of Houston Permit, and maintain your lot.

I am modifying my house, what do I do?
Please reference the checklist on the first page of the ACC Modification Application Form, and submit complete plans with evidence of each item. See the Deed Restrictions and ACC Guidelines to ensure compliance.

Do I need ACC approval for interior repair?
No.

How long will my approval take?
Approval times vary depending on application and build. For example, a fence repair is on average less than 3 days, and a new home on average is less than 20 days. The NF8 ACC reserves the right to a decision for 30 days after all documents have been submitted.
